So that period of not blogging lasted about a month or so.
Much has happened since then.
I started and did very well with the first part of my Games Programming course.
I ended up playing EVE and am currently playing around with Incarna 1.0 At the moment.
I saw Thor. Loved it. Never even looked at reading the comics before now, but I absolutely loved the way that the movie was put together. Norse mythology is a little obsession of mine and it was really cool to see stuff from that be reimagined in the world of the film.
I saw X-Men: First Class. Loved it possibly even more. To be clear, I’ve hated all the previous X-Men movies but loved this. The dynamic between Xavier and Eric was really well done and the movie felt much more like an X-Men movie than a movie based on X-Men.
So I started watching Game of Thrones. After seeing and loving the first three episodes of the show I got myself a copy of the book and read the book as I watched the show. After watching the shows final episode of season 1 last monday, its kinda tricky to express just how much I love this show. It’s easily the best show I’ve seen on TV in a long while.
I joined this writing website called Wattpad and its sort of like Youtube, but for amatuer writers. There I found some interesting stories and started putting up chapters of Raven Rising, the first part of my military scifi story. I was really happy with the response and feedback I got on my writing through the website but with me writing up the final chapter of Raven Rising yesterday, I’m going to be taking a break from creative writing for now. Expect to hear more about future writing efforts when I start planning and writing this years NaNoWriMo later this year. (This is the fantasy story that I’ve mentioned in the past).
A friend lent me Heavy Rain. I like it a lot. I’m having trouble finding time to play the game but what I did play of it, I really liked what I’ve played so far. I also picked up Final Fantasy 7 on my PS3, I’m quickly seeing why this game is so critically acclaimed, but I do need to find more time to play it.
Okay, so last weekend I went to Supanova. Supanova is this big games/anime/comics/movies/TV Shows convention held each year. Last year I went with about 5 friends, this year I went in a much bigger group of about 20 people. It was awesome because the closer we got to Supanova, the more and more cosplayers filled the trains. The day was an absolute blast and I cannot wait for next year.
Oh and the TemCast may finally be returning soonish.
